I went back and checked again paying extra close attention too the names and I was indeed wrong, Grey Acumen. It was someone else and it was in fact you that told him too stop. Thus my entire post was wrong and I deeply apologize.
I hope you can understand why I would have been upset if it were the other way around but it is not and actualy im happy about that. I still very much like your idea and if I can figure out how I will try to put your banner in my signature or something to support your thread.
Again sorry for the misunderstanding. If I can I will attempt to delete that post.

Anything expressed above is purely my opinion, it may be right in some cases, it may be wrong in others.

(inspired by Glyph255) Satchel:
The player already has a backpack (Do you think the player carries their entire inventory in their hands?) but despite being able to carry entire mountains worth of blocks, people still find themselves running short on mobile storage. To address this issue we introduce the Satchels, similar to chests in general function, method of access, and that they are not stackable, the key differences are that the Satchel only has 4 slots of storage, but picking it up does not remove the items from a satchel, allowing them to be carried as a group while only using a single slot. While this effectively allows a player to potentially quadruple their carry space, this is not without disadvantages;
- The items each satchel contains cannot be accessed unless the satchel is placed on the ground, nor is there anyway to distinguish satchels from each other or verify the contents of a satchel without placing it on the ground and opening it.
- Once a satchel is placed on the ground, it is susceptible to disappearing (along with any items it had) if the player wanders out of map range. To prevent their disappearance, Satchels must either be carried with the player, or stored in chests.
- Satchels are also highly susceptible to destruction. Although this makes it easy for the player to pick up the satchel with a single hit, if a Zombie, Spider or Skeleton touches it, it will destroy the satchel and spill its contents, and any explosions (creeper or otherwise) or fire or lava will instantly destroy the satchel and any items it might have been containing.
- If water touches a satchel, that satchel will be dropped as if broken, but provided it is picked up, its contents will not be lost.
- Satchels cannot store other Satchels.
i cant store a satchel within a satchel?! i wanted to protect my stuff with a satchell maze ...but YOU! you ruined my dreams of satchell mazing! now, if you will excuse me, im going to go have a blue sasafrass cola

I like the idea for the half blocks of diamond/iron/gold. Using 9 diamonds for a full block may make a pretty house, but you run out of diamonds reallllly quickly, so it would be nice to be able to use a half block for design elements.
I don't find the idea practical for survival, but it's good for decorating.
I find it interesting that the recipe for paper is getting the most NO votes...
It quite literally has no impact except to make the Bow Drill better/more accessible. Outside of that it's exactly the same.
at this point I've stopped viewing them as people actually looking for the mod, but instead people clamoring for it to be made into a mod.
I just have NO patience for them lol
not to be rude but, instead of sitting on your ass waiting (VERY good ideas though.) for it to be done, do it yourself. or hire a coder. Im sure plenty would love this badge on their chest (like me..but im terrible at coding :biggrin.gif:).

I can tell you right now, I wouldn't bother make any of these tools. I would just place a crafting bench and make the much more worth it tools we have now.
Edit: Also, I believe the shield don't need the extra detail. Our armor is simple, why shouldn't the shield be?
congratulations, you just quoted a spammer, so now even after he's been deleted, his **** will still be here, and to no other purpose than to say one word to point out the obvious fact that it's a spammer. How about I report your post too?

I like most of these ideas you've all come up with. But a few of them seem unnecessary...
The idea I like the most out of it all is the light stone sand concept... and then after being smelted becomes light stone again. OMGoodness. I love that idea. IF only that one concept came to fruition, I'd be as happy as a creeper.
love it. this is my favorite part of the forums. not people playing little "guess who can count to ten first!" or "look at this pic of a crepper, lol", the part where there are some people that actually realize some thing everyone should, and that is that its beta. which means everyone should be putting there ideas up and hopefully making a difference to the game while you still can. i don't mean the over the top ones like machine guns, tele signs and torches working in water, i mean ones that are actually plausibe, like making slings, shields and little tools, one that actully emulate the real life, because if anyone has noticed, this game is not based in the 21st century, so no guns, planes, or grenade launchers.
p.s. wow, i think thats the most intellectual thing i have said in the forums. i feel thmart.
as a follow up, i want to see what anyone thinks of my two ides-
-being able to smelt obsidian. it would be harder than smelting diamond, but create onyx, which has the same abilities and properties as diamond, exept for being a little less durable, but can still mine obsidian. this is because it is much harder to mine, but you must keep in mind, how often do you see diamond? now, how often do you see obdian?
- changing minecart track recipe. think about it, you have a 48 block walk to your mine from your house, which is still short. you would need 18 steel ingots. there and back, 32. now that dosent seem like much, but it almost completely takes any chance of making a nice long, minecart system and blows it right out of the water. i think either the recipe should yield more tracks or it chould ude different materials.
thank you in advance for your support, criticism, and other suggestions.

THANK YOU THANK YOU
This banner looks a lot better.

I support this. Because really, the old texture looks like two half blocks. So make it two half blocks! Besides, we need more half blocks!
Much too true :biggrin.gif:

Also now that the image is smaller... YOINK.
