Dragons? Yes! Anything people thought were cool about dragons could be interesting. Dragons as a way of flying, dragon scales/hide as a resource, and as a good mob.
Giants? Yes! They could make a good mid-tier mob to fight.
Cthulhu? No, no, definitely not! How lame would it be to be able to kill Cthulhu? And unless he's near invincible and you have to wake him up and sacrifice virgins and create Elder Sigils, it would just feel really out of place and it would be really hard to balance.
