Sorry if this has been suggested, if so just link me so I can throw support there.
I'll tl;dr first: The ability to link minecarts together to for a train, therefore making the powered minecart actually useful.
So I was playing singleplayer. Dug right down to just above the bedrock, and made an epic long tunnel (my map had very few caves D: ) The idea was to have a track running the length of the tunnel, for faster transportations back to the entrance. Note that this tunnel was completely flat.
Imagine my horror when I found out the powered minecart's uselessness. The only way I could make a train was to put the PM on the back, and walk along behind it pushing it. This to me is rather pointless.
So my idea is thus;
Implement a way to link minecarts together (perhaps they simply 'lock' together when they touch), so you can make a train. Use of this would be perhaps Powered Minecart > Minecart > Storage > Anything else.
You sit in the minecart and 'use' the PM in front of you, to get the train moving.
Perhaps when you use one powered minecart, all of them in the train activate, so you can make longer trains.
Hmm, whenever I did that, it only went while I held it down.
I'll have to test it again.
Well, in any case, linked trains would still be useful.
Boosters are a glitch, not a gameplay mechanic.
Until such time as they are implemented as an ACTUAL feature, they bear no relevance to suggestions.
Thankyou and stfu about boosters now. :biggrin.gif:
Though, I thought they only moved in the direction you were facing when clicked? So you'd have to run and chase them...?
Eh, I'll go test some more.
yes bob you are correct you do have to chase them down and hold the button in. they do not just auto chug. and they cant pull so they are only really useful for pushing loads of storage mine carts.

Anyway, that's all I have.
