If you were me, then I would tell you to release my body immediately. But if you were like me, then you probably want to be able to craft together nine ham slices and create this wonder:
Presenting the Ham Block.
This culinary feat will allow you to build whole cathedrals out of tasty pig-meat. And as an added benefit, you'll never go hungry again with this supporting your home. This block might also be hiding a secret... Can you say, "furnace"?
Look at your ham, now back at me, now back at your ham, now back to ME. Sadly, you cannot be me, But if you were like me, then you probably want to be able to craft together nine ham slices and create ham blocks. Look down, back up, where are you? You're on a boat with the ham your ham could be like. What's in your hand? Back at me, I have it, it's a cobblestone block that looks like the president. Look again, the cobblestone is now DIAMOND. Anything is possible when your ham is cubed into one meter blocks and not strewn across your inventory.
I'm in a minecart.

You are totally thinking about this signature right now. Read a book.
i think unstackable food keeps the game from being too easy (granted i don't own it and can't play so i can only base this off what i've seen from other people playing) New food recipes would be a better alternative than stacking imo. Maybe some heal over time stuff, instead of insta-heal.
I don't care what the ham block does. Even ignoring the fact that it would allow for massive storage of hams, it's a flippin' solid block of ham. The ham block does not need to be useful. The ham block does not need to "make sense."
I fully support the ham block for the sake of the ham block itself.
