The Meaning of Life, the Universe, and Everything.

See me, standing here?
The title says, well, not all, but almost all of it.
The main premise of this challenge is to gather the resources you need from the start at the surface, then venture your way downwards to see how long you'll last in the underground bombardment of dungeons.
For me, personally, I've played for about 2-3 hours, and have a base, raided about 10-15 dungeons, and have a reasonable amount of loot with a melon and beetroot farm. But it just really depends on how your world generates. I got lucky, and a tree spawned about 30 blocks from spawn. The world is made entirely out of a desert biome, so trees are really difficult to find.
Iron and coal are incredibly rare and gold, diamond and redstone are nonexistant, you must find them in mineshaft and dungeon chests.
Yes, mineshafts spawn occasionally, but are not as common dungeons, which are absolutely everywhere.
Anyways, dungeon chest loot will be your primary source of, well, resources.
If you'd like to make this challenge more insane, simply edit the "dungeonChance" tag from 2000 to whatever you'd like. Although, I'd highly recommend not going anywhere higher than 10,000, since you're game would be unresponsive at that point.
Anyways, hope you guys have a good time with this one, have a good one!
