When Minecraft 1.3 comes out I would love to update both this list and that one. But will be hard to find the time.

I liked Africa too! You are so right about good seeds. I've never seen a Minecraft world that didn't have at least several great things about it! So I have tended to focus on seeds that are short and easier to remember.
Tonight I added another dozen or so seeds that I have been collecting. Unfortunately no pictures or descriptions so they are in the 2nd post. Several, like seaside resort, are from the forum so you might already have seen them. I will link to them as I can.
Also, this list was originally started for 1.2.5 but some 1.3-pre-related have been sneaking in. Some will be of less interest in 1.3, such as spawning in dungeons, since I believe all 1.3 spawns are on the surface. I am debating whether to switch this topic to 1.3 or to just start a new topic dedicated to it.
PS - The fibonacci sequence used as seeds is interesting too. Special trick to get 0.

Yeah, there is a special trick to get zero, but I haven't found it yet. AMIDST however can do 0 like it was nothing. Because if you put zero it gives you 4199248423682764479 and negative zero gives -5605937404669954279.
