As the description says, I was looking around my desk for seed inspiration, and my eyes landed on a can of Arizona brand iced tea. I randomly decided to try that as a seed (Arizona Iced Tea, as the topic title says), and something interesting happened.
You remember the old gargamel seed? Where you spawn in an underground cavern? That's what happened to me. It's not an absolute spawn (I assume, because x-coord for spawn is in the 300-350 range, don't recall exactly), so this may not happen to you, but if it does, it's pretty nice. Digging in one corner of the cavern, trying to reach surface (I cheated and TMI'd myself a pickaxe, so I could a)get out at all and b)get the resources), I hit a large vein of coal. By the time I hit the surface, I had 23 coal, just from that one vein. The cavern itself looks pretty nice too, as does the view once you escape from the right part.
This is where I spawned. I was in a rush to get out, so I didn't notice the coal in the roof.
The view upon exiting the caverns.
Looking left after leaving the caverns.
Looking right after leaving the caverns.
I'd post one of 'looking back', but all you'd see would be a mountainside and a descending staircase carved into it.
More pics coming after I a)explore some more and b)find out where else you might spawn (ie: make new worlds with the same seed).
Texture pack used is "Resonance! Meister Edition" by team ResonanceLink. Soul Eater FTW.
EDIT to add: I'm also using the Walled Cities mod, but that shouldn't affect general world generation as far as I can tell, just causes the game to add walls and buildings. This is 'as far as I know', though, but I'll be testing it (using spc to teleport to where I spawned in this version, using a version of MC without the Walled Cities mod installed).
That looks quite beautiful, especially with whatever texture pack you're using. I might try this out soon. Sir, you deserve some coal.
Texture pack, as said in the post (but kind of buried in the other info), is Resonance, specifically the Meister edition (Resonance is a series of texture packs based on the anime Soul Eater).
I deserve coal? Have I been naughty, Santa? (with the holidays practically around the corner, I just had to, lol)
EDIT: OK, so confirmed NOT absolute spawn, but apparently at least one other potential spawn point has some interesting features. Nice to know :smile.gif:
It also practically gives you everything you need right there. I found pumpkins, sheep, wood, water, and even lava all in one field of view. Without Quake Pro, may I say.

If my rank is Carpenter, do I get to rename myself Jesus?

Edit: I didn't spawn in an underground cavern, but I did spawn somewhere above ground with a nice mountain view.
