Trohohoho. It's the opposite of the seed 404. It has more features though, and there don't seem to be any snowy areas.
The funny thing with this map is that there's 3 surface lava lakes within about 150 blocks of each other. About 1km away from the spawn, there are overhangs and it was an area I almost settled down in. However, I wanted a snow biome, and I still have not found one, even though I've been traveling for 2km. >_>
Here's a map of the explored territory:
Did simg, but I wanted to do img, but that would fly off the page.
Random images from interesting parts:
Spawn.
Just behind the mountain when you turn from spawn.
One of the lava lakes. It's the only one I actually passed on the way. It's kind of amusing how close to the water it is. Also, why do lava lakes always have a coal vein on the edges?
A valley strikingly similar to the one in my old World3.
Lava fall into a cave. Thankfully it didn't set a forest on fire. ^ ^
I was bummed that the spawn was an average map, though.
Hey, you know spawning? I made a thread on that, so I may know what I'm talking about. Possibly.
For normal seeds, spawn points are not always random, sometimes there's a chance that you will go to a certain point(s). Like if you type in Blazer, you will notice 1/2 of the time you spawn on a small island, 1/2 of the time on a continent.
Note that the coords should be proportionate to each other, in the sense that yes, you can use them to find stuff on a map with a normal spawn point (the one that's "random"), this way, you can use Normal Spawns to find stuff instead of just getting lost.
If it was an Absolute Spawn, we wouldn't have to worry about this since those make you spawn at x0.5 z0.5, but those are rare, so forget those for now.
But the point is: If you don't spawn at x0.5 z0.5, give us the coordinates.

Yeah this is one of those complicated things. I've heard that if x0.5 z0.5 has sand then you will always spawn there. Which is why some of the threads like the 7896 thread works you'll always spawn on that same beach... However, if there is not sand at x0.5 z0.5 the spawn will be randomized. That is what I've seen, and I am an obsessive thread lurker.

Death is one of the occupational hazards of mining [Diamond] near [Lava]

Found a place full of high mountains, with trees reaching the sky limit. There's even a dissected tree up there. I'm also too lazy to write the coordinates, so, it's an image.

Ignore the low FPS. I was too lazy to turn off Ambient Occlusion.

Sorry. Just got tired of saying that. Coordinates please? For ALL of them.

EDIT: Found a nice place to settle if you're fine with sandstone being rare-ish.
