I love the 404 challenge, specifically because i didn't die in the first few seconds of trying it.

Tried to put some screenshots up... But i'm totally new to forums so I couldnt figure it out. Any help? Something about board attachment quota being reached?

Found the exit.

How do you find it?? Am I haxing??


1) Find this! Then travel up the water stream, to the source of the water.


2) There ya go, matey.


3) Now keep going up! Until lava source.


It'll look like this. 4) Go towards the gravel, and turn right.


This is the turning right part. 5) Now climb up!


6) Beat 404.

7) ????

8) Profit.

I took a shot at it and I recorded a video. Im making a video of a second attempt, so ill finish that and decide which one is better before uploading. Oh yeah, its a commentary with me and my brother. First video I survived around 30 minutes before getting exploded into a vat of lava by a creeper. Cool challenge, by the way.

I can't get the cave to work. I get the gravel, but it's just stone underneath.

Take a look at some of the videos. The entire gravel area wont collapse, only a certain part. It is possible you're digging in the wrong spot or digging the wrong gravel patch altogether.

My opinion is that it is fair game. If you can make torches to put in pumpkins, I don't see why you couldn't use torches for anything you want to above ground. You just have to ditch them before heading down the first night.

Again, my opinion only.

Would have been more funny too see you get defeated by 4 ogres...

Made the mistake of trying to do this with Mo Creatures installed.

First attempt:
20minutes survival time (excluding initial 10minutes preparation)

Killed...
4x Spider (+4)
3x Skeleton (+3)
2x Creeper (+4)

Achieved...
Dungeon runner (+15)

What about mod usage? Example, I have Ultimate Fist and Humans+ on. If I found the materials nessesary to craft the Ultimate Fist (Which destroys every block/enemy in one hit) could I use it? Also would I need to disable the Humans+?

so...um ya....

where the hell is it? i found the damn gravel and removed all of it...even spawned some tnt in to dig down some more.

Great ideas on the scoring system, though. Hopefully with some test runs we can get a rough idea of the difficulty of different tasks. Maybe mob killing is the main priority, since the lack of torches will make building permanent homes much harder to do.

Thats the SAME PEICE OF DIAMOND I FOUND! DONT MINE IT! Theres lava underneath! :sad.gif: found that out the hard way.
