I found a pretty sweet snowy mountain! It is located around X:276, Y: 1188 and here is where its located on the map
If nobody has found this before and there's no objections I wouldn't mind it being named Sweets Peak, haha. Anyways here are some screens from the area...

Im in too. Ive just generated the world and i'm going to do a kind of reference map.
That's what I've been doing. If you find a location you would like to name, tell us the name you want to give and the coordinates. You're free to make your own map, but it's pretty redundant at this point. I've dedicated my save file to leaving everything as undisturbed as possible, so you don't have to.
Speaking of the reference map...
*Spawn Beach - The location where most people tend to spawn. I mentioned this name before, but now it's namesd on the map.
*Navineous Cave - The cave that Navineous found full of iron and coal.
*Georgia - Northwest of Florida. Might as well, eh?
*Isle of Life - The name just struck me as appropriate.
*Isle of Lime - A doppelganger just south of the Isle of Life.
*Boneblister Desert - A terrible event happened here, many moons ago. It is so named, because the event caused the victims bones to blister in the blast.
*Forbidden Zone - It is said that this was once a great mountain, but the mountain-dwelling folk got greedy. They chopped down all the trees and and mined the mountain bare. In the husk of the mountain spawned a giant creeper, which exploded, wiping out all life around the desert. Everything died, and life has only begun to return.
*Sweets Peak - A giant snow-covered mountain. Discovered by SweetLeaf.
*Sweets Overhang - A huge overhang off of Sweets Peak. Discovered by SweetLeaf.
Just started the world at about 8 PM yesterday - constructed a humble abode between the East Central Woods and Totem Prairie by about 12 AM. :biggrin.gif: Just got done adding the flowers and cactus farm a few minutes ago. (Damn, there's a LOT of clay in this world!)

Planning on upgrading all the standard log walls to brick; found some iron! That is now my priority.
While digging diagonally down from inside my cave;
, I found a dungeon full of skeletons. Ive decided to dig around the side of the dungeon and go up into it instead of down into it so i can get the chests first :biggrin.gif:.

Anyone looking for treasure i suggest this.
Ill update in a minute when i find out whats in the chests.
Edit: 2 chests, not extremely good stuff, just a few Redstone dust, a saddle, some iron ingots, a couple of buckets and some other useless stuff. I'll update if i find any more dungeons or valuables underground.
Also found a vein of 6 gold ore just above a underground river at (146,26,83). How happy am i?
My house is actually overhanging on the cliff where you put yours, so HI NEIGHBOR
Btw, im mining in to the mountain also, so I'll let you know what I find
Stardot, ive already scrapped my map since yours is much better.
Excellent. My takeover of the world will be swift and--uh, I mean... Don't you worry about a thing. Just build your house and don't ask too many questions.

Also, take a look at this lovely viewpoint i found while exploring deep underground caverns:
I haven't tampered with any of it. It is completely natural.
I reckon its just below East Central Woods on Stardot's map. Good luck finding it. :tongue.gif:
Also, i recommend finding it because the whole cave system there is totally chuck full of :GoldBar:, , and other useful minerals.
Holy cow, mate! You can't just leave a gem like that unmarked! That is AMAZING!
Oh, and to embed images that don't go over the size limit, use the "simg" tags, the way you would use the "img" tags.
Also: Thanks StarDot, your maps are great and I love how you gave them names and such. I'll make sure to put it in the first post. Could you possibly map an isometric version of it? I really like how isometric renders look. Also, if you could put all the descriptions for the map locations in one post, that would be great. :smile.gif:
I went to Forbidden Zone and wasn't disappointed. StarDots description for the location is great too, because it really does looks like a mountain was mined out and then exploded:
I also found a mushroom on top of a rock. Is that supposed to happen?
I built my house on the island closest to spawn, (No not the Island of Life, the one closest to shore).
The house is a small wooden house that is 7x4x5 on the outside and 5x3x3 inside. It includes, (ATM) a large chest, workbench and a furnace.
Unable to find any sheep I was not able to craft a bed for my enjoyment.
The sand floor has been dug down one, and will be replaced with cobblestone.
I have also lit up the island with torches so monsters will not spawn, (particulary ) on it.
Here are some pictures for you guys:
Outside the house at nighttime, (completely safe, I think).
This is a picture of me viewing the sunset through an unfinished window,
(Note: The glass was put in for safety later on, and the floor has not been dug out for remodeling yet).
I waited 'till morning to harvest 20 stone for a furnace and the new cobblestone floor of my "hut".
I used 4 Raw Wood, which I made into Charcoal to make my initial 16 torches. Today ,the second day, I decided to gather more since that number had dropped to two and I would begin mining soon.
When gathering and mining stone, I met several flaming skeletons that frequented the forests and weren't happy to see me.
Here are some more pictures for you guys:
This is me inspecting my new cobblestone floor and furnace.
From this view, it seems my quiet little island is a peninsula of the mainland.
This is the view of the spawn beach from my tiny sandy outcropping of an island.
And finally, it seems both pigs and chickens frequent my island as if it was a Caribbean paradise.
I hope you guys are having as much fun as I am on this seed!

Thats perfect! Hope we put it on first page.
@sweetleaf
Nice house!
AH! my looting machine dosn't spawn monsters and my house burned down! 5 hours of work destroyed....
If nobody has found this before and there's no objections I wouldn't mind it being named Sweets Peak, haha. Anyways here are some screens from the area...

Yes, I have a creeper skin.
Yes, that's a jack-o-lantern in the floor.
