Think I have found that odd job you missed . You are missing some repeaters under the program ROM.
please tell me if I'm wrong here?
yep! thanks!
I knew I left out stupid things!
fixing now!
everyone pretend that this bug is not here!
(or shud I re-upload it?)
also, with my new professional-looking video editor thing wich is getting on my nerves, I am making a seriously epic trailer for my seriously epic computer! (except for the sheep, you will understand later...) It came with cool trailer music, too!
the editing system is fine, its just that preview window, I had to restart the thing 3 times because it kept breaking. and importing is frustrating. and everything I import it puts this strange file in the directory of the video, for every single one.
other than that, im fine with it!
What about the latest redgame computer? The youtube video that is called "redgame minecrafts most powerful (in functions) redstone computer. I mean that thing is HUGE!!!

<--- I made a pixel art image of this dragon in The Powder Toy!
I am testing conditional branching by reading a swich and ouutputting its value on the general purpose indicator! Next, read user imput, save to RAM, load from RAM to the screen, and display it! Due to my super-awesome command system, this only takes 2 commands! Loop and all!
your average computer takes 4 commands, eficency!
Yo, do you want to put it onto our server so we can help with something?
Naa, im fine. Untill that missing torch bug is fixed, otherwise I will find bugs that are not realy supposed to be there.
You can put it on the server and get a tour of it, but I probably cannot show it working after a few days.
Still happy to give a tour, or something.
fixed problems with wires when using GOTO! twas repeater problems.
GOTO system now working!
manual underway!
trailer done, not uploading until the thing is done though!
EDIT: ALU invert also fixed!
One thing, probably insignificant. You could push a little more speed out of everything if you added blocks to extend the wires a little.
Rather than 16 blocks per tick you can get 18.
Wire-------|Block|Repeater|Block|Wire--------
Also Vertical bussing over other wires can increase speed as well as reduce the overall size of the setup.
I want to congratulate you on sticking with it.
it is a very lengthy process, I did do that for the GPU bus at some points. It is fast enough.
also, I am starting to get worried about some 100 block update limit rumour. I know how Java works, and I completely understand why it chud be there, but once you reach it, does the not updated stuff freeze or update on the next tick? I really hope this does not cause too many problems.
I am testing all command combinations, checking if its working, and noting what it does on the soon-to-be manual! it is very affective because it forces me to test everything! but it is quite a long process... there are some seriously useful features, though! I am already on 6 PAGES of manual... and the basic instructions arnt there yet...
whoops!
I was writing in the manual about how I have 2 random number generators, 1 for conditional branching and another for 10 bit random number, when I noticed I forgot to build the conditional RNG!
*builds conditional RNG*
I was wondering why I had 4 bits for that thing...
yay! displaying value on screen now working!
bug with register saving fixed!
clock timing fixed!
turns out that my computer is faster than the screen itself! impressive!
seriously, the number displays and it dissapears again (that is what it does when its computing) like 1 second later!
EDIT: now more RAM problems, too!
looks like everything was broken!
fixed that, though.
MOAR DEMO PROGRAMS!
LOL, I had to add a delay command because the computer was going too fast!
YET ANOTHER RAM problem fixed, some sort of infinite saving/loading glitch.
having some GOTO problems with another test program.
EDIT: turns out I programmed it wrong. it was working fine. not the RAM, though.
after this conditional branching test, what simple program shud it run? NOT minecraft, crysis, pacman, space invadors, something extreemly simple. I have quite a few plans.
also, I am writing all these demo programs down so I can put put em up for download later when it is fully working, with extreme commenting.
to use: switch #1 changes the general indicator to its state. when you pull down lever #2 it preforms software shutdown.
tell me if this works on the downloadable version, as I am not sure!
The computer took me a bit to figure out how to turn on, because hitting the button, even with a command, didn't work, but once I got it on I saved a number to RAM, loaded a number from RAM, added a number, and than saved that output to RAM. It works great. Haven't found any major bugs yet, at least while exploring and running that program.

That is becuse the redganlme 2 proudly supports software shutdown!
To turn it on, you must first load it with a program, then reset it, then turn it on. The computer will turn itself off if it fails to load a program/boot.
damm fancy.
A mouse pointer that moves around the screen using user input
PONG ( yes it has been done On dedicated pong machines But never on a Computer [That I'm aware of])
That game where a frog crosses the road ( the name eludes me right now )
tetris ( thought I don't know if you're computer has the RAM for it )
SNAKE ( the game where the snake gets longer each time and you have to avoid it )
I think these are games that you're machine could be capable of What do you think.
Mouse pointer, ok, ishall try!
Pong has apparantly already been done on the redgame 1, he will probably port it to this new, faster version.
Tetris, no. That is a lot of collision detection, a lot of memory, and a lot of simulation.sorrry.
Snake,I was about to say no, but then I came up with a btilliant RAM shifting idea! It however is way too slow, and snake needs to be fast. Darn.
I shall make pixel invadors first, though! I talked about it in the redgame 1...
dammm uuuu register acess codes!
now you are reversed, now you are not reversed! even I cant get my head around it! and I BUILT IT!
pro tip: manual tick and following the wires to the register to see if it is correct is always a good thing to do.
fixes: trying to startup when the computer refuses to now no longer confuses the sign! it stays of just like the lamp.
I added a "manual tick" button right at the program memory, to make this all a lot easyer.
EDIT: quick acess to registers from program memmory
and testing torch removed in a save to memory system wich may have caused problems.
yep! thanks!

I changed the video title after some complaints on that loooong ago. it was the only place where the "claim" was, yet still so meany complaints...

Random torch placement :smile.gif:
What I think could maybe possibly be a bug, because I don't know what I am doing.
Below, the wire lever #1 goes into a torch, letting it turn off.
Going to another not gate that does not actually effect the wire at all, even if the random torch was not there.

You are looking at the multipexers for the GOTO system. That random torch was for testing, sorry.
The inverters all need to be there.
