After following a tutotrial for an awesome 1-block-thick 3x3 piston door, I was able to wire up this basic torch tower input so the buttons could be on either side of the door. I would appreciate any help from less stupid redstoners than me to make this input better/more compact. Thank you in advance
A skeletal copy of what you posted is on the right; my changes are on the left.
(I've left part of the hardened clay you used in place as it helps locate the various parts.)
I'm not familiar with your texture pack and don't recognize the door design, so I'm unclear what the block I have represented as light blue wool actuallly is… but the RS-dust on top of it behaves the same in both of these.
Placing a repeater on one or both of the inner jungle slabs will allow you to lengthen the pulse if that is desired. (The slabs could be full blocks if you prefer.)
One change is that the one on the left will have a slightly faster response because it has only one RS-torch instead of five; if the response time is important, loop the signal around to power the wool under the RS-torch from the right & add repeaters….
(Don't mind the extra buttons, just a convenience when I was building.)

WARNING: I have an extemely "grindy" playstyle; YMMV — if this doesn't seem fun to you, mine what you can from it & bin the rest.
