I know this isn't as crazy as some redstone / command block creations you've all done, but this was my first "big" project combining all the knowledge I've gained watching other redstone / command block developers.
I've created FreezeTag in Vanilla Minecraft with just redstone and command blocks, NO MODS!
It is hosted at 162.244.165.51:47168 or freezetag.mcpro.co
The game is completely automated and includes such features as:
Team management
Spectator booth
Round / Scoring & Match Mechanics
Announcer
In-Game Mechanics for freezing / thawing players
!!No input is required by the player other then to join the server and play the game!!
I am planning on developing this as a framework to extend its capabilities.
Future updates will include:
Team balancing: Fairness based on # of players / score of each team
Spectator Queuing: Limit the # of players playing on a map and remaining players will be queued up for next round in spectator booth.
Game-Types: CTF, TDM, ClanArena, Dom etc.
Voting system: next map, game-type, kick, etc.
VIP / Reservation Slots: Allow guaranteed access for VIP players.
With the help of fellow redstoners, we've begun tweaking existing features and adding new ones. We have the countdown timer displayed in sidebar, and every 10 seconds in chat. We've added health to the tab screen and we've begun work on a map rotation system, as well as a lobby system.

I was able to create a much better team joiner. This circuit is for a 2 team system.
Here is what it checks for and what it will do
If both teams are empty then assign first player to red team
If both teams have an even number of players then assign next player to red team
If there are more players on red team then assigns next player to blue team
If there are more players on blue team then assigns next player to red team
One last thing I would like to do with this is have it check the scores for when there is an even number of players on each team, and instead of favoring a specific team, have it assign the next player to the lower score team. But for now this works quite well!
Here's a screenshot of the circuitry. I can do a walk through if anyone wants to understand how its doing all this.

Fixed some performance issues with fill clocks and redstone torches today thanks to MazeCraft. Server is now running smoother then ever!
