So, I need to spawn a creeper on all tnt items(not blocks or primed tnt). What should i write after [type= to select tnt items? I have the rest of the command working.

Creations are only restricted by your imagination.
Nevermind, I fixed it by naming the items tnt and using the name as a target selector. I would still like to know if it is other ways of doing it, though.

I was wondering... I am making a bending world. I thought i knew about execute. i testfor a selected item slot with a carrot on a stick in the hand and it is supposed to activate a command that strikes all mobs within a 7 block radius of you with lightning. the command i used is
Say I needed to use an execute command to testfor a item within 3 blocks of another item. How would I do it?
What I currently have is
/testfor @e[type=Item] {Item:{id:minecraft:chest}}
Thats in a repeater command block
comparator into
/execute @e[type=Item] ~ ~ ~ /testfor @e[type=Item] {Item:{id:minecraft:minecart}}
So where would I put the radius?
Can Anyone Help Me With This Command, Im Trying To Make It So That Anyone Who Steps On Red Stained Clay Will Die Instantley, But It Wont Work. I Probably Just Made A Simple Mistake, As I Make A Lot Of Those With Commands
Thanks! Once again, another stupid mistake . I've been messing around with commands and am getting really good with them, but still make small mistakes like not adding semicolons, or not having a comma between commands.
It's not necessary to say to be made in one command,
as one command is only stack of created commands.
I'll give you guys some "hints" to solve his problem as
I'm too lazy to type the command for him.
1.To trigger command by right clicking:
a:carrot on a stick
b:constantly tp an invisible villager while holding it
2.To trigger command by left clicking:
a:invisible slime
b.invisible mob(kinda rubbish suggestion)
3.the command of the flying cow:(with exploions)
after those, combine them in one command(the falling sand thingy(eeveryone knows-,-))the submit it to this guy.Done.
Can't imagine a Slime in form of a pig... am i stupid?
This was pretty useful, as i'm making a creeper king boss fight map for 1.8. this tutorial is very clear in how to use the command.
I look forward to seeing more tutorials! BTW I'm uploading the map on Planet Minecraft soon.
=D
do you know an arguement shall be used like this?
@e[1,2,3,4,type=Zombie]

Is this possible?
/execute @a[team=abc] ~ ~ ~ effect @a[r=8] 1 1 1
this is to give regen to anyone standing around anyone in team abc
I'm also building on planet minecraft! Can I get your username? Mines awe_house.
Nice!
it might be that you have to put quotes around the Lore instead of brackets
and its square brackets not curly here:"/execute @e[...]..." also no space between the "e" and the bracket
and if you are only trying to change the item in the Zombie's hand /replaceitem or /entitydata would work better
also if you are trying to execute all zombies just use @e[type=Zombie]
quote abuse lol
I was wondering... I am making a bending world. I thought i knew about execute. i testfor a selected item slot with a carrot on a stick in the hand and it is supposed to activate a command that strikes all mobs within a 7 block radius of you with lightning. the command i used is
execute @p ~ ~ ~ execute @e[type=!SpookPlaysMC,r=7] ~ ~ ~ summon LightningBolt
why no it work? it says failed to execute, [said command]
execute @e[type=!SpookPlaysMC,r=7]
obviously is this, is SpookPlaysMC a type of mob?
use [type=!Player,r=7] instead.
(btw, I clearly know that that's not a multiplayer-compatible command as there's no scoreboard.)
how do I set an execute command based on if specific items are in a players inventory?
Check out my mod pack! its at over 10,000 Downloads and has an official server!

Scoreboards-,-
how easy is that.
You can also do
if you want it to be in a certain slot.
I usually do that for my tools in bending worlds that have more... destructive measures.
As long as I'm here, I might as well challenge that YMbrothers guy.
My challenge is...
Make da WitherStorm.
I don't know how your whole challenge thing works, but I have a fairly simple witherstorm simulator set up.
fairly easy. I like da bombs. and how it makes ducks.
just kidding.
about the ducks.
it's way more complicated.
but ducks would be cool...

What I currently have is
Why does this not work:
/execute @e[score_enderify_min=1] ~ ~ ~ detect ~ ~ ~ minecraft:water -1 effect @p wither 0 1 true
I want to make an ender-ey thing where any players with a certain score take damage from water but I can't get it to work.
