i'm having issues making commands and command blocks work. my goal is to make teleports to different coords in a server.
the first command i've used is /tp @p <x> <y> <z> , while it does work, it only teleports the one closest to the command block- which is an issue itself since this is for a minecraft server. i've also tried only /tp <x> <y> <z>
next, i gave all players the same tag and tried incorporating it into the commands.
/execute run tp @a[tag=Player] <x> <y> <z> (worked as expect but not what i want)
/execute run tp @p[tag=Player] <x> <y> <z> (served the same purpose as the first command i did, i only realized now that i've made it unnecessarily complicated)
please help. i have thought of giving us all separate tags but i don't know how to put all of it in the same command block
[EDIT: i use bedrock and one of my players is on java]
yes, i even added /execute run etc, but for some reason it's not working. I'm considering if it's because of my game or the host that's helping run the server

You're not supposed to add /execute run? Thats a java exclusive command.
for it to be used with multiple people near the command block and the one who clicks the button (but not the nearest to the command block) is teleported

Detecting the person who clicks the button is impossible in Bedrock iirc. I think only @p can be used for the person closest to the cmd block

Are you trying to tp people in a radius around the command block? If so you need to add a distance selector, "r":
/tp @a[r=10] <x> <y> <z>
You can check the syntax in the wiki here if you dont want this.
The Java player should still be subject to bedrock commands, otherwise a bunch of problems would arise backend serverwise
i tried this along with /tp @a[r-2] x y z and it still didn't work. i've checked out the wiki earlier and had a trouble understanding.
i want to add i tried it with another player on
Did you do r=2? w/ the equals sign
yes, i even added /execute run etc, but for some reason it's not working. I'm considering if it's because of my game or the host that's helping run the server

What are your criterias of tping people?
for it to be used with multiple people near the command block and the one who clicks the button (but not the nearest to the command block) is teleported
though if it isn't possible without @p then it's fine, i've set up backup plans for alternate transportation without needing the command blocks
