If i have a chest with 64 obsidian for example and 64 cobblestone, is there a way i can remove 5 obsidian and 10 cobblestone. But i need this to work if the value of materials changes. because it wont always be 64

Are you able to restrict players' placement of the blocks?
For example, I want the obsidian to be only placed in slot 1 and cobblestone at slot 2. Others will be ignored.
If that's not possible (i.e. players can throw the item anywhere they want), is it possible that the player can fill the whole chest with entirely obsidian and cobblestone?

It would be possible to restrict it.
The current plan is as follows
The items are put into a dropper, which is locked. therefore items are put in with a hopper, and will autosort.
There is no restriction as to what goes in.

And when it comes to art, there's only happy little mistakes.

So it's not a chest with 27 slots. It's a hopper with 5 slots?
Lemme get this right, Players can throw items into the hopper or place them manually on the hopper. What goes into the hopper goes into the dropper.
If that's the case, if players put trash into the hopper, they won't be able to take it out, even if the dropper is full?

The hopper feeds into a dropper, ergo 9 slots. trash can go in, and I'm trying to target a specific stack if it is inside the dropper, to then remove items from. i ignore all items in there which im not looking for
