To download the other ones you need to make a folder in the versions folder for minecraft and put the client and JSON file for the versions in there. They all need to be named the same aside from file extensions. Once you do that, you will be able to choose that version when making a new profile with the minecraft launcher.
im trying to set up a command block shop,
and I already added scoreboards that track the number of certain items like diamonds or emeralds etc.
The problem is that I don’t know how to just target the player who pushes the button to activate the commands
cause if I use @p, what I have now just checks for the nearest player who meets my requirements.
for example: if bob has 4 diamonds, he goes and do the command that looks for 5 diamonds or more,
the command block ignores bob and target
paul for being the closest player with 5 diamonds.
Can I make it so it only targets whoever pushes the button?
There the one with scoreboard criteria, but let's try a slightly improved solution.
I guess that your command will be:
/clear @p[scores={xxx=5..}] diamond 5
If you try this instead:
/execute as @p if entity @s[scores={xxx=5..}] run clear @s diamond 5
Will that be slightly better?
My way is just to always target the nearest player, even if he doesn't have enough items.
This is part of my biggest pet peeve in Minecraft, and it's why I made this suggestion. You need to use this:
/execute as @p if entity @s[...] run ...
Remember those versions that minecraft pranked us with? Specifically:
Those are still downloadable! Watch this video for 2.0:
