I am trying to make a dandelion grow every time it is picked. Prior to 1.13, I was using 2 command blocks, one to detect air and one to set the dandelion. I thought execute would allow me to do it in one step but it's not working. Here's the command I'm using:
execute if block 224 69 -363 minecraft:air run setblock 224 69 -363 minecraft:dandelion
The command block GUI doesn't seem to have any problem with it but it doesn't place the dandelion. Is the problem with "run"? It seemed to be needed but I was not sure how to use it.
PS the command block is set to Repeat Unconditional Always Active
NVM It was one of those flukey things that happens with command blocks. When I first placed it, I left it on "chain" by mistake, which of course didn't work. It still didn't work when I changed it to repeat, hence my query. I tried another block for another location and it worked, so I broke the first block and tried again. It works as desired.
