Not sure if this is possible now, but essentially, I want to change a particular portion of my map to a snow biome so I can make it snow in there.
At the moment, I just want to do this on a singleplayer world.
MCedit works on older versions, but not 1.13. Is WorldEdit possible to get on a singleplayer world? Or is that a mod?
Any other options, or just a frank 'no it's not possible' will be great. Thanks!
EDIT: Not sure if this is meant under commands, sorry if it's not!
Please, everyone, if your post is solved, edit the name and mark it [SOLVED]. Period.
Yes, it is possible with WorldEdit. And there is a mod version of WorldEdit so go check it out.
And theoretically is still possible even without WorldEdit and MCedit, use NBTedit, but somehow I cannot get it work...
Hm... just had a look and NBTedit doesn't seem to be compatible with 1.13... Or am I looking at the wrong program?
COuld you give me a link please?
My bad, WorldEdit is not here yet.
Strange...I tried multiple time for the past 1 hour, the result for NBTEdit is either nothing change or crash between the software and the world...
emmm.Then I guess...no it's not possible
k I am back. The reason why I couldn't get this work because I was using a old nbtexplorer, never knew it need a update...
Make sure your NBTExplorer is at least version 2.8.0.
Write down the coordinates or chunks that you want to change.
You can know which coordinate and chunk you are currently in by pressing F3, or
Use this https://dinnerbone.com/minecraft/tools/coordinates/ to find out which r.x.x.mca you need to open.
Check your Biome ID here, https://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Biome/ID
For example, I want to change the entire chunk(0 0 0 to 15 255 15) where xyz coordinate is 4 3 10 from void into snowy_beach biome.
x y z: 4 3 10
Chunk: 0 0 0
Biome ID: Void(127), Snowy_Beach(26)
Close your world before you start editing.
Use NBTExplorer to open your world, saves/<your world>/region/r.0.0.mca/Chunk[0,0]/Level/Biomes
Double click Biomes, Text view, export and save it as a .txt format.
Open that file, Ctrl+F to find and replace 127 with 26.
Open your NBTExplorer...Import this file back to Biomes, OK, and make sure you press save on the top left corner.
I want to change the biome in parts of my world. I want to transform mountain (3) into dark woods (27). I tried to follow your manual, but it didn't work. When I press F3 it says:
Chunk: 8 10 9 in -12 5 6. Which chunk do I have to pick in the NBTExplorer? 8;9 or -12;6.
Do I have to change all 3s (mountain) to 27s (dark wood) in the Biome code?
-12 and 6
Or you can input xyz coordinates in one of the dinnerbone's tools to double check if is -12, 6.
Yup, replace all 3 to 27, if you don't know or don't care if the entire chunk(from y=0 to y=255) get changes.
