In 1.13 when a player is sleeping in a bed you can run a data command in a repeating command block followed by a conditional chain to increase the score and any time a player gets in a bed it will run
yes, that is correct, and i agree it's better if you don't
I have not done much with 1.13 but actually realised this when i was testing for the TP player with empty Inventory thread that you could just do it this way. So much change in 1.13 some good some not so good... I'm excited for the challenge though!
Ive tried to get this scoreboard to work but it stops after a while. I added a second one that resets the score back down when not sleeping. Just trying to get a simple sleep system going.
*Edit I found that this works to just make it day when anyone sleeps
/execute if entity @a[nbt={Sleeping:1b}] run time set day
How do i track with a scoreboard objective if a player sleeps in a bed? I tried
but it tracks if a player places a bed, not if they sleep in it.

Hope this helps

Only issue is that since it's using the set function it resets the day to 0, which lowers the local difficulty.
I know there are time add versions for older versions but can't find any for 1.13 pre 2.
