The Meaning of Life, the Universe, and Everything.
When using the summon command, the movement speed attribute let's you control how fast a mob is, or whether it can move at all. For some reason, however, when I set the movement speed of a vex, bat, or parrot to a super low value such as 0.0001, they still move around normally.
Does anyone know of a way to make one of these mobs hover in the air without moving? Removing the AI would not help me in what I'm trying to accomplish, but I just don't see a way out of this problem.
If you really can't use NoAI then you can also just teleport them to a location or an entity constantly. If you make them summon themselves a cloud once and then constantly teleport they should stay in the same place.
If your situation allows it you could also summon the entity riding some other entity that doesn't move like a cloud or a stand.
