So I just wrote a simple function and put it here (as a .mcfunction)
C:\Users\MCtropix\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\saves\Redstone\data\functions\Functions
The function just executes 1 command (/say test)
When I do /reload and then /function I click tab but it doesn't do anything. So I manually put in /function Functions:testfunction and click enter. It tells me that the function could not be found :/
Thanks
EI have been writing a function, and it won't work when I try to use it. I reloaded the world when I tried it, and It won't find it
The syntax of the command is:
execute as @s summon area_effect_cloud ~ ~ ~ {Duration:10000} tag @e[type=area_effect_cloud,distance=0,limit=1] add cobbleGen
The filepath is:
.minecraft\saves\FunctionTesting\datapacks\botcraftcustomfunctions\data\botcraftcustomfunctions\functions
Does anyone know what I might be doing wrong?
Edit:
After posting this, I thought that it might be good to point out that there is a function in that same directory that does work.
Edit 2:
I found the error. I was doing
execute as @s summon area_effect_cloud ~ ~ ~ {Duration:10000}
instead of
execute as @s run summon area_effect_cloud ~ ~ ~ {Duration:10000}
I like to work with datapacks and commands a lot, and I have a YT channel called Game_bot_0207
