The title pretty much says it all. I am hosting a Danganronpa roleplay, and if you've played that game, then you'll know that corpses are a pretty big thing in it. I know that there are plugins out there for it, but they are all for lower versions of MC, and I would prefer a higher version. I was thinking maybe that there is an invisible scoreboard that can tell when a player dies, and then when that player dies it spawns a lootable corpse (Armor stand pose), but I have no command experience, and I would really appreciated it if someone kinda walked me through it. Another thing I would want is that when a player dies a certain way, the pose is different, if possible. For example, if they die because of a sword, they might look like that have a sword in them?

Hey, I have a problem, when I die, nothing happens. It must be coming from the first command, as the armor stand won't summon. Here is the altered command: /execute @a[score_Death=1] ~ ~ ~ /summon armor_stand ~ ~ ~ {ShowArms:1, NoBasePlate:1} DId I do anything wrong? I put it in a repeating command block that's unconditional, and needs redstone, but even when I add the redstone signal, it won't work.

Hmm... Well I tried to summon a lightning bolt (/summon lightning_bolt) and several mobs, and it still didn't work. The command block is on unconditional and repeat... But still no dice. I'm not sure why it's happening, I pasted in the command exactly how it was, but I just added what I wanted to summon...
Nothing is happening because you cannot execute from dead entities, because when an entity's HP reaches 0, the game says it doesn't exist. So when a player dies, the command won't execute properly, but it passes on because they're all unconditional.
Basically, a dead player/entity cannot execute a command, therefore cannot summon the armor stand. However, the command resetting the score executes after regardless (as it's unconditional) and the machine does basically nothing. In short, this machine is either impossible to make or impossibly difficult

I know that it can be made, I've seen it before, but all that I've seen is insanely confusing, and I was just wondering if there was another way. It's still not working, and that's okay! I really appreciate you trying, but if there is another way, please tell me!
hm... I'm gonna theorize one for SP, might not be MP friendly
first a repeating command block with: /tp @e[type=Endermite,tag=PlayerTrack] @p
Then a chain command block with /execute @e[type=Endermite,tag=PlayerTrack] summon armor_stand ~ ~ ~ {CustomName:"PlayerTrack",(now the positionaling and everything to make it look like a corpse)}
Then a conditional chain command block /execute @e[type=Endermite,tag=PlayerTrack] ~ ~ ~ testfor @p ~ ~ ~
Then a conditional chain command block with /execute @e[type=Endermite,tag=PlayerTrack] ~ ~ ~ kill @e[type=Armor_stand,name=Corpse,r=1]
Then /execute @p ~ ~ ~ /execute @e[type=ArmorStand,name=PlayerTrack] kill @e[type=Endermite,tag=PlayerTrack]
now /execute @e[type=Armor_Stand,name=PlayerTrack] ~ ~ ~ testfor @p
Cons: It's a big loop with a lot of summoning and killing, not good for some low-end PCs like mine. It also generates a lot of smoke (when the Endermite dies) so that also happens. The Corpse will follow the player around. Finally, the corpse, when stepped on, might disappear. Otherwise, it should be fine.

Okay, so uh.... Is it basically just a big pillar starting with a repeat command block and following with chains? Or are the commands with no specific block just regular command blocks? Sorry, I am very new to commands!

They are all in the same line connected, they can be horizontally linked as well, command blocks are cool that way. They're all always active, the ones that have (conditional) next to the command I posted are to be put in a conditional chain command block

False! you can because I just test it and it work
Player is different than other entity because when you died it still count that you are there
Why? Because player is always exist not like others it get removed when it died

Thank you!
Oh gosh, several typos. Just... Just ignore those.
Only plugins can make fake player corpses but in vanilla Minecraft there is other way
First make death counter
- Repeat command block -
And summon zombie or armor stand with player head to make is like corpses
- Chain with conditional -
Then make every players that are death to spectator mode
- Chain with conditional -
Reset death and stop loop
Ah, thank you so much! Will defo try this!
How would I make the armor stand have a player head tho?
Wait, wait nvm I got it, thanks!

Are you playing in 1.11?
1.10 or lower it name ArmorStand not armor_stand
*If yes please check this*
Repeat command block must be unconditional
Try so summon other things that not armor stand
(chicken,cow,zombie)
If it summoned that mean something is wrong with armor stand
If it not summon that mean something is wrong with command block

I just update all commands
Hope it work this time
If it still not work
I will find another way for you

Ty so much, it works!
Hang on, would there be a way to make it so that the head of the armor stand is the head of the player that died?
ANyone?
There is no auto detection for player head so you have to manual it all
- Repeat command block -
But place this thing once
- Repeat command block -
AH, thank you so much again! You're awesome, thanks!
