You can't really randomize where a mob spawns. you can make a redstone randomizer and have specific outputs. do /execute @a ~ ~ ~ /summon <mob> ~ ~ 2
This is basicly the stump that people came into when they wanted to make guns in Minecraft
You need to use command blocks for every direction. But luckily there are some McEdit filters for this.

You could just use a spawn egg with a specific tag, then summon the new entity in its place.
