I really like how you did this in Minecraft; however there is one concern I'd like to point out as a command block maker myself. Usually, when I make command block stuffs, I avoid using spawn eggs. Reason being is that spawn eggs can be right clicked onto any spawner to make that spawner spawn the mob in the spawn egg itself.
Not necessarily a big change seeing that you're using silverfish but it would be better if you could use something like throwing an item on top of a furnace to convert it into an electric furnace or something. Otherwise, keep up the good work!
P.S. The unit kilo-Joules is represented by a small SI-preifx 'k' and not a captial 'K'. Thus it should be 'kJ' and not 'KJ'.

I use spawn eggs because I need the armor stands to line up perfectly with the center of the block, which can be done using item frames but is very annoying. It also reduces lag because I can attach a tag to the spawned mob and execute commands at that tag, instead of testing every item in the world to see if it matches the machine (makes a big difference). I'm one of those people that won't sacrifice performance for a slightly better system.
In 1.11 they changed entity names. Since Elder Botany was a one-command format, I could just use notepad to find->replace old names with new names. However, since this is in a schematic format, I can't really do that. I'm working on it, but updating will take a while.

The only problem is, i hate how you used the IC2/IC Tag... my beloved IC Mod belongs with its creators, what if they make IC3 in reality... :\ you basically just stole the IC3 Logo from the creators of IC... :\
Now uses 1.12 function scripts for better performance and compatibility
New module: Gadgets. Adds in special armor modifiers, tools, and guns.
Resource Pack! Everything now as a custom model.
Many optimizations to improve performance.
Forum post has been updated to reflect all changes to the script.
Elder botany support for the Age of Machines auto-farmer
Re-branding: When I started this, it was a small side project. I chose ic3 because I like puns and it would give people an idea as to what I was making here. However, it is growing in scale very quickly now, and in order to differentiate itself from other mods, I am renaming the project to Mechanization.
The speed is a physical limitation of the system I'm using. At the moment, there is no way to make them fly faster. I would have to develop a completely new system for bullet physics for them to fly faster.
The system is somewhat bad, so in the future I will redo it, but probably not until 1.13 comes out. It's adding features that will make ray tracing much easier and more efficient.
If anyone is still here, Mechanization 2.0 has been released for Minecraft 1.13, more than doubling the content. More info in OP. Check out the trailer:

You could use any spawn egg but give it the nbt tag {id:"minecraft:silverfish"} that way you can use any spawn egg but have it always spawn any mob
Use of spawn eggs was removed in version 2.0 in exchange for better methods. 2.0 changed pretty much all of Mechanization.
