Hi! So I was looking into making my very own adventure map but unfortunately I have run into a bit of a wall. I want an axe to have the exclusive right to only break oak and birch logs but I'm having a lot of trouble with the CanDestroy command. Can anyone help me out? It would be much appreciated!
As far as I know, you can't use specific metadatas for the canDestroy tag, so it'll always be able to break all logs. One way around this would be to include a resource pack for the world that makes another block look like oak/birch wood. I'd recommend using acacia/dark oak, since they have a different ID from normal logs, and can still be placed as logs normally (they'll rotate based on where you place them).
I suppose I wrote this wrong. My real concern is, how can I obtain an axe to put in my world that can only break logs? Like in the item description it would say: Diamond Axe, Can Break: Logs. That way in adventure mode they can only use it to break logs. I'm very new to this so sorry if this is obvious.
Nope it changes how much durability it has, like if it's entirely new (0) or very used (1500), basically the damage subracts itself towards how much durbability the item has and that's how damaged it is.
Thank you so much! I have another question too. Alrighty so my second Adventure map question, I want the player to spawn in a basement underneath the spawn house but whenever I set the WorldSpawnPoint to in front of the house or something it never spawns there? I know about the radius of the spawn area but I want them to be able to spawn underground. Any Ideas?
