This will play the zombie death sound to all players, but if we added [tag=Example] to the @s selector, it will first target all players, but then only executes for itself if the player is tagged with Example.
How can I add arguments? I’m making an exp shop and I want to /give @p[r=3] golden_apple, but I also need it to be /give @p[lm=5] golden_apple.. the reason I need this is that if there are multiple people, someone who has 3 levels might get the golden apple instead of the button presser, who might have insufficient funds..

Hi, i found it hard to understand the correct syntax of the commands (specifically arguments). By exemple, I dropped 3 items in front of me (a gold ingot, a redstone torch and a minecart). I'd like to teleport only one of them 15 blocks in the air. I could do it for all of those 3 with: "/tp @e[type=item,r=10] ~ ~15 ~", but I wasn't able for a specific one. It's always unclear for me to find the appropriate syntax to use. I used: "/tp @e[type=minecart,r=10] ~ ~15 ~". I also find it hard to identify the correct entity ID or name. With target selector arguments, what is really the difference between item entity ID and item entity name? I'm using Minecraft 1.12.1 presently. Thanks for your help.

Just do @e[type=item,name=“Gold Ingot”,r=10]
I tested it and it works. The quotation marks are necessary if the item name has a space in it.
this tests that a block exists but can it select the block as the location a command block will tp a mob to?
for example:
/tp chicken (block in question)
/testforblock detects a block in a specific point.
/testfor detects entities.
I am not that good at commands, but what you are trying to do is possible.
Not only is there no argument, but it appears that there is also no way to set it up with a scoreboard... I've never even thought of that...
Oh yeah it helps a lot!
One question that I have is, what does the @s selector target?
The @s selector targets the entity that executed the command.
For example:
This will play the zombie death sound to all players, but if we added [tag=Example] to the @s selector, it will first target all players, but then only executes for itself if the player is tagged with Example.
This can be used with /execute to detect for more than one tag.
This is useful because you cannot have @a[tag=Example1,tag=Example2] or it will only detect for the Example2 tag.
Hope it helped

Separate items in a selector with commas. In your case,
That way the player must meet both requirements in order to receive the item.
