I am working on an adventure map in 1.7.10 and I am trying to find a way to detect if someone is sneaking through the testfor command. I thought about trying to detect someones eye position but I don't know if it is possible. If you know a solution please comment it below, I would appreciate it.
What about stat.crouch? Or is that also not in 1.7? If you could use that to tell when the player is crouching, then summon an armor stand with no gravity at the player, then teleporting it up by 1/8th of a block. Note that the player has to move slightly for the stat.crouch to register.
"Eye level moves down one-eighth of a block, and the character model bends over slightly. This can be viewed using F5. This does not allow you to fit into smaller openings."

Unfortunately the stat.crouch objective-type is not available in 1.7, nor is /execute or armor stands.
adding the objective: /scoreboard objectives add crouch stat.crouchOneCm
commands with selector: @a[score_crouch_min=1]
reset command after commands that use selector: /scoreboard players set @a[score_crouch_min=1] 0
Unfortunately, this doesn't register the crouch until the player has started to move. In my earlier post, I tried to determine the eye level of the player, but that isn't possible at this point either.

Sarmachus, I need your help here. I want to make a rabbit who would plant seeds for me.
If I toss a stack seeds on it, then it would /execute @e[type=rabbit CustomName:Planter] kill seeds ~ ~ ~
then this rabbit hops on Farmland -1 then sets block wheat 0 ~ ~ ~ replace air. count 64
is this possible?
Yes, it is possible. I have made it, however, you might want to add a playsound or particle to make it nicer. It is also possible to make it more 'realistic' by adding a timer so that the bunny isn't placing blocks every opportunity it has. It is kind of like a snowgolem at this point.
Your Scoreboards:
/scoreboard objects add rabbitInventory dummy
/scoreboard objectives add itemDetection dummy
You commands on a clock (in order):
/scoreboard players set @e[type=Item] itemDetection 1 {Item:{id:"minecraft:wheat_seeds",Count:64b}}
wow, you actually made time to make one... I am so thankful. but I have yet to know which specifically is the clock you are referring to. Now Ill just search for a way so that these rabbits would religiously hop over farmlands as long as it has rabbitInventory. Thank you so much.

Before you do, I believe what I have put is incorrect. This version has some a few bugs. I'll make a video on it soon enough. The 'clock' I was referring to was a fill clock.

Even though this thread asks for 1.7 and I don't know what versions this works in, I thought I'd update this thread with a genius solution by Squirtdude:

Then how do you do this in 1.8?
You would do:
adding the objective: /scoreboard objectives add crouch stat.crouchOneCm
commands with selector: @a[score_crouch_min=1]
reset command after commands that use selector: /scoreboard players set @a[score_crouch_min=1] 0

I'm not sure about the actual detection itself, but the whole thing is 1.9 due to the special arrows
The detection part should be 1.8 compatible because it requires a stat.crouch objective and teleporting a mob to the player.

Another (and probably last) update: Well now there is a new way added in 1.9 via the stat.sneakTime objective.
