I made an account specifically to ask for help about this, as searching these forums and other places on the web have given me no results.
I'm attempting to make a 'vehicle engine', that would allow you to 'drive' a construction about the landscape. This uses a pair of cloning commands, one being masked, and the other being Filtered. The Filtered clone command is so random blocks from the environment don't get caught up inside the command's cloning zone.
My issue, is that it seems I am unable to filter for more than one type of block. Whenever I try to insert more than one type of block for it to filter, the output says that the command fails. Yet I'm certain that it should be possible to do so, so I've been trying various syntax arrangements, with no luck so far.
Can anyone else give me assistance on this? If it is possible to filter for multiple blocks, I'd very much like a syntax example. This is the only thing blocking progress on this project right now.
The only way to filter multiple kinds of blocks is through multiple clone commands. If they are all executed during the same tick, it should go unnoticed. I'm not 100% sure, but running the clone command in filtered mode copying multiple times in the same area should not ever overwrite any previously cloned blocks.
I feel like that shouldn't be a thing. My test build in of itself uses over 16 different kinds of blocks and items. If I had to give each one its own command block, that would be a rather large array. And that is simply unacceptable.
The only reference to filtering multiple blocks that I HAVE found online, was inside a 'For Dummies' book on Minecraft. In it, it said to separate the list of blocks using a single space. When I tried that however, it didn't work. Yet it leads me to believe that there /is/ a way to do it, given proper syntax. If it wasn't, then why would that have been published in the book in the first place?
It does seem somewhat strange that the book would publish that. It may have been a feature in the past, or the book may have just been wrong, however as far as I'm aware there is no possible way to do that with only one command. Have a look at the wiki yourself, but it definitely sounds like there's only one slot for the TileName: http://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Commands#clone
