I have a 16x16 arena. I need to know what square a player is in at as close to real time as possible. Mr. aary33 suggested I teleport a command block cart onto powered rails beneath a player, then have that cart setblock redstone blocks to trigger things. My current issue involves tracking the player. Im thinking that I will be using a scoreboard system to map each block in the 16x16 area (not sure if this is the best method, if you have a better one feel free to offer it). I would have 2 layouts, one that is basic horizontal rows, and another made up of 2x2 grids (12 56 9 0 13 14 line 1, 34 78 1112 1516 line 2 and so on). In order to do this I would need two separate objectives, which would require two command blocks, heres the problem though, when i setblock a redstone block, it can only power 2 command blocks (top and bottom). I need to be able to set two scores as well as clear the redstone block with setblock. Suggestions? I have tried pushed buttons and they dont seem to work. I intend to use this tracking system for a boss fight and many of his attacks will rely heavily on it, so the more accurate the better.
