I'm wondering how many actual redstone engineers we have around here. I've recently begun developing with redstone myself, and I'm having a blast figuring out how to make more and more complex mechanisms.
So my questions for you are:
[*:qtjzguyk]What is the most complex redstone device that you, personally, have made?
[*:qtjzguyk]What did it do?
[*:qtjzguyk]How long did it take you to create / debug it?
Modification to other people's work counts too, but only if the modification adds additional purposes or significantly alters the original purpose of the device. You must also cite the original device's creator.
I'll start:
By far, the most complex device I've made, is the logic processor for "MineMan v.2".
It plays a chime and opens the exit door when the player has won the game, resets the game if the "pellets" despawn while the game is being played (to prevent cheating via laziness), locks the zombie spawn chamber once all "Power Buttons" have been pressed, and initializes the arena when the "Start" button is pressed.
The redstone parts of the game have taken me about 2 days with prototyping, creating, and debugging (lost of debugging).
The most complicated that I've ever made is one of those devices that constantly goes on and off infinitely with very little delay, hooked up to a bunch of note blocks.
Probably my 360 TNT Cannon. Oh, or maybe that big pi symbol that lights up that I made for Pi Day. It was really annoying in circuit getting the wire to the redstone torches so they can blink on and off. I've also made a few short looping tunes, including one that plays when the pi symbol lights up. I can't decide!
i wired up a whole stadium with working fog lights for the stadium and bleachers, an automated sprinkler system, and a complete surround sound audio system for every 8 seats in the building, retractable roof too.

the only time i get angry is when i have to deal with ****ing retards
1. Probably a Rock, Paper, Scissors game.
2. It allowed 2 players to play RPS against each other.
3. Around 1.5 hours and 2 hours, with lots of breaks and fooling around.
it was a switch that i counld flip on the wall and it would turn a redstone torch by the bookcases in the wall by my bed. (reading light) prolly took me a hour to get it right. i fail at redstone.
Cart return system, I guess. A stone pressure plate would depress, and "load" the system when your manned cart stopped on it. The circuit would energize but the mechanism requires the circuit to de-energize again before it activates. Getting out of the cart de-energizes the circuit. Also, the circuit path splits. One path goes to the delay circuit, the other goes to a note block circuit just below the station which plays a little ditty every time a person arrives.
Edit: Took roughly an hour to construct. Maybe ten minutes to debug. Debugging was just getting the delays right in the note block song. The rest of the system worked just fine right off the bat.
I have a door that I made that will open a locked iron door in exchange for an item. There's two ways of doing this, I used water as the timer system. You throw the item into the water, which carries it down to a pressure pad, which then has redstone linking to open the door.
Approx. 2 hours.
I also have double doors made of iron that open from both inside and out. Took me a while to make, but it's almost flawless.

Edit: What way to make my 1000'th post
I plan to name it "Renders '11" once it's finished.

Timed Opening Door - Requires an item.

But I plan on making something more complicated in the upcoming weeks.
I can help you with that, if you'd like. PM me if you want help lol.

<----Magma Dragon, u jelly? yeah, u jelly
It took about 4 days to make it (With absolutely no help at all from any video/site on how to make a calculator)
