Alright, I've searched the forum and, much to my dismay, I found that there was not a single thread dedicated to BUD switches.
So here's how it works: You guyz post cool pics of BUD switches and explanations, and then I stick em up in here. Easy, right? Also, I would like to encourage general discussion of BUD switches as well. Properties of BUD switches, unique uses, methods of setting them off, etc, are all welcome for discussion.
There have been lots of threads about BUD switches, but they tend to get buried and forgotten. The forum search engine is broken, so you can't rely on that.
This is why I think the wiki should be the compendium. There is already a lot more info there than in any thread, and it will always be well organized and easy to find. Contributing won't get you as much personal attention or youtube viewers, but hey we're all doing this for science, right?

This one is the smallest created (also my design). Dimensions are 3x1x3.
So I took your design and made this...
It has it's faults. It was originally meant to be a BUD RSNOR latch. And partly is, I might add. At the bottom, it uses your design bud switch as the SET. Then at the top, placing any SOLID BLOCK will reset it. (note, the output on the right is lengthened to be shown in the photo.
It's probably still faster/easier to use a repeater on each side of the grow space.
Certainly more compact, anyway.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Apparently I'm a complete and utter jerk and come to this forum just like to make fun of people, be confrontational, and make your personal life miserable. If you think this is the case, JUST REPORT ME. Otherwise you're just going to get reported when you reply to my posts and point it out, because odds are, I was trying to be nice.

Ah, excellent, thank you.
Since I'm not terribly interested in maintaining the wiki though, I'll just keep adding to this thread for the sake of convenience.

I'm reasonably sure the leaves still don't, not sure about the wood though.
(I made a pun...)
Yup; confirmed. Trees now update blocks.
