I have no idea why this happens but when breaking the redstone on the yellow wool, the redstone becomes unpowered.
The powered redstone torch to the right is there to show the lever is in the off state
Could anyone help fix my design? There is going to be a clock rather than the lever so it repeatedly goes on and off. The lever is there just to test it.

It's because right now your mechanism is in a infinite loop, By breaking the yellow block redstone, you're breaking that loop. :smile.gif:
To explain it better, think of the wool as a conductor. You put power to the wires, and it hits the repeater, and the repeater hits the blue wool (the one besides the yellow wool redstone) and the blue wool powers the yellow block redstone, and then the yellow wool redstone powers the wire that powers the repeater, that hits the blue wool... etc
I'm not sure what your trying to do, if you want it looped or not, so i can't say how to fix it per say, but i hope I explained what was happening :smile.gif:
I do have a pretty good sense of how redstone works. So if i replaced the wire above the yellow block and the ones next to it with repeaters and wired them up, would that fix it?
Edit: Thanks for the video hamster. You just got another sub.

The blue blocks which are powered by repeaters, will also power any redstone 1 block away from them.
