I would say that I am still quite a novice with redstone, but I am learning. I've been able to do simple piston doors, automated wheat harvesting, and simple stuff. So I decided to try my hand at something more complex, and while I have gotten it to work, it doesn't work properly.
I have 3 piston groups that I need to operate with 2 buttons, and yes this is for a door system. I shall call them group A, B, and C.
The issue that I am having is the timing, because group B has the pistons which hold the stairs that move up once group A and C have retracted. It keeps operating out of sync, and the blocks get pushed all over the place, which I have to go tear it down and rebuild it. The whole system right now is not compact in any way, which is not an issue for me as I am still learning the fundamentals.
So I need help with the timing on the groups.
How I want this to operate is where I push a button, which causes group A and C to retract, then cause group B to extend. I walk thru the door, and then it automatically closes, by retracting group B, and extending group A and C.
Anyone out there can give me some assistance with this?
Thank you,
'Stray.
[Edit] Also forgot to mention, I can't seem to get it to automatically close after I have passed to the door.
Would it be something like this? I know, the layout is different but the concept is the same (I believe). You have one set of pistons that retract while the other set extends and vice versa.
