i need a two minute delay so my pistons can keep cycling, this is for my dance dance revolution game that ive basically finished but this would just make it a hole lot better help please
So it needs to be on for two minutes and off for how long? A certain amount of time or until a button is pressed/some other event occurs?
i want it to when uhit a button the piston will do there job for 2 minutes and wen two mintes are up they turn off and thats it , and if u want them to go a again u press the button again when its finished
when talking about redstone, youre basically programming. So you need to be VERY specific...
"two minute delay" could mean:
pull lever -- two minute delay, powers output for however long the lever was on.
push button -- two minute delay untill powering output for a set time.
clocks:
two minutes on, 4 ticks off. (and inverted)
two minutes on, 1 tick off
two minutes on, two minutes off.
or button activated clocks, that run 2-x cycles.
EDIT: issue seems to be resolved, and forgot to include those possibilities

all i wont is wen u hit the button it will keep the pistons running for two minutes then wen two minutes is up the piston stop working until i hit the button again
If you're still interested, I had a go at making a compact 2 minute monostable circuit. Although you can easily make it longer by adding more repeaters.
There are a few other designs I came up with in that save, the final one seen below (Mk IV) is basically but using pistons. I find his version to be unreliable, I get the same problem shown in .
The shorter left side clock has a total of 60 ticks, whilst the right has 63 ticks. They do 21 and 20 loops respectively to reach 1260 ticks, which is a little over 2 minutes.
From my tests, the two clocks need a difference of 3 ticks to work reliably and also the circuit seems to be affected by the north/south quirk, hence the need of a repeater on the yellow block depending which direction you build it.
I'm by no means a redstone expert, but that's the best I can do to compact it.
thankyou very much
it to be on for two minutes
the output to be on for two minutes so the psitons can cycle for that certain amount of time then stop
