So, here it goes. I am now using rails for transportation. Im not good enough yet to make anything fancy. I use powered rails and a lever to get the cart going on both the start and the end on my railsystem. My problem is this: When I reach the end of the rails, the powered rails are powered up since I used a lever to get it moving in the first place. How do I stop the cart from going the other way, without having to aim down the lever and hit it at the right time?
I have been experimenting with detector rails, but with no luck.
If any of you have a system, in which the cart stops at "train stations", and you are still able to continue, please share.
When I push the button, the rails are powered up for about 2 seconds before they turn off again, and the cart refuse to move. And Im sorry, dunno how to post pictures yet, needed url to do it.
The blocks act as a break. If both levers are on powering the rails the cart bounces back and forth. If one is off it will stop at that station. You can also click the levers in motion if you're fast enough. Currently I am having issues making this work with more than one station.

22. July - Never again
I know the cart stops at unpowered rails, but I use powered rails to start, so I dont have to push the cart before jumping in.

Using a button didnt work at all. Cart wouldnt start moving, even though the rails were powered.

Really? That's weird. Mind posting a screenshot? It works this way to me

So, the buttons solved my problem! Thank you, BlindEarthBender!

Lol, you are welcome :smile.gif:
The problem with ut vids is that I think they are out of date with regards that they all use the old design in which you another cart to boost
Either I am just very uncreative, or they are just out of date and people need to either take down those old videos and post new ones
