I have been messing around with pistons lately, and I have found a clock that:
-Doesn't burn out
-Doesn't change on and off
-Goes so fast you can't see any difference
I have not found a use for this yet, hoping you guys would.
It defies logic!
A few questions:
How do you know it's ticking if you can't see the difference?
If it ticks infinitely fast DOESN'T IT MEAN THAT IT'S IN BOTH STATES AT THE SAME TIME WTFBOOM
WOO! QUANTUM PHYSICS! I'm surprised someone actually knows about that :tongue.gif:. I was going to comment on it using the past 4 years of uni to make up a really good quantum physics joke, but since you've already made one, I guess there's no point again :sad.gif:
OT: That's pretty cool :biggrin.gif:. I know what I'm going to be thinking of tonight while trying to sleep :tongue.gif:
actually it is so fast that you can't get a pulse out of it, so its useless. You need a repeater inside the circuit, but then it is slower than a rapid pulsar.

I counted about 48 pulses in 15 secs, making this dispense roughly 192 items/ 1 min. I also noticed it doesn't work if you connect a repeater to the dispenser.

If a delay on a repeater is higher than the pulse, it doesn't send a pulse.
i tried to pluck it in with a lever, so you could turn the system on and off.. it works 90% of the time, but the last 10% the sandblock stuck to the piston will stay and block the circuit and leave the circuit broken..
- trying to find a way to fix it
EDIT: DONE
just add a pulser which is wired to the piston and it will work 100% of the time
Just connect the lever to the torch, simple as that. Works for me every-time.
Also, amazing invention. You have to name it. Possible the 0 clock?

I am the bone of my sword
Steel is my body, and fire is my blood
I have created over a thousand blades
Unknown to death, Nor known to life
Have withstood pain to create many weapons
Yet, those hands will never hold anything
So as I pray, Unlimited Blade Works

Hook a dispenser up to it and observe. :tongue.gif:
0 ticks is a completely steady stream of power, the piston takes 0.5 ticks to move and the redstone takes approximately 0.2 ticks to power the block the piston is on, so it's less than 1 tick clock, but it's not 0.

Annoying door machines, watch their horror as they cannot even see the door move.
You just cannot see it sometimes because it moves so fast

If anyone comes up with any uses, let me know.
ON TOPIC: I seriously thought this was trolling at first. But good work, I'll be coming up with uses.
I can get a pulse out of it. It works.
Confirmed. Strange, but could be amusing in Multiplayer.

Schrödinger's Redstone Clock ftw?
