Hey i am a pretty big noob at redstone wiring, so this may be a really dumb question. Anyways, my question is if i have an invisible staircase, which can be achieved by placing pistons on the outside of a wall and putting a switch down and applying current to each piston, can i wire it a certain way so that i can toggle the staircase from the top and bottom of it?????????? Right now i have the switch placed at the bottom and i want to be able to toggle it from the top as well. Please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes, this can be done. I would suggest replacing your levers with buttons and a memory latch; when you push either button, it flips the latch, which changes the stairs. Latches can be built pretty easily; see http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Redstone_circuits#RS_NOR_latch. Alternately, use an RS XOR gate (available on the same wiki page) with two levers as the inputs and wire the output to the pistons; this will cause either lever to flip the state of the stairs.
