How many ticks does it take from the middle of the night to the middle of the night in the next day.
I'm making a calendar but this is something I can't find anywhere.
Well.. According to the wiki a tick is 0.01 seconds. So 10 ticks is apparently 1 second(if I remember correctly).
So if you find out how many minutes make up a Minecraft day, then find out how many seconds that would be, you should be able to rather easily figure it out.

I'm usually not trying to be rude. So if a post comes across that way then sorry :]
i believe that a full minecraft day (from dawn to dawn) takes 20 minutes, with 10 minutes for day and 10 for night. so, at 10 ticks per second, that makes 1200 seconds or 12000 ticks.

Which would mean a **** ton of redstone repeaters would be needed sine I'm assuming the OP will be using them.
Although I can't imagine the amount of minutes being an even number like that. It just seems like Notch would over complicate it.

Actually, Day is 10 minutes, Night is 7, and morning and evening are 1.5 each.
Build a decimal counter, so when the seconds clock reaches 9 it sends a pulse to the decimal counder, which pushes it up a number
And also, there are 24 minutes to a mc day/night, with 4 minutes of twilight

Dammit. I always get 0.01 and 0.1 confused. In math and everything it applies to.

O RLY?
i didn't know that. i always assumed that a tick was just a tick.
Actually, Day is 10 minutes, Night is 7, and morning and evening are 1.5 each.
It would take 2400 repeators, and 4800 torches, a whole **** load of redstone, 7200 blocks of stone, and 4800 sticks.
And also, there are 24 minutes to a mc day/night, with 4 minutes of twilight
Thanks, to the above: I already planned on using multiple counters and long delayers.
