I tried to make a circut that when the 2 inputs are both on the output would be off and when both are off and only one of them after it has been off first is on the output would be on, it is a bit of a weird circuit i haven't been able to make it so far. Does anyone know how to make this?
although it is simmillar to what i want it is not what am looking for the circut i need must be like this 2 inputs when both inputs are on output is off then when both are off the output is off and stays off even when one of the inputs turns back on so for example if both inputs are on and one turns off then it stays off but when both are off then it turns on and will only turn off again when both inputs are on, i haven't seen a mechanism or circuit like this yet on youtube
I think you need to be much clearer about exactly what you mean.
This last description sounds nothing like the first, probably because I'm confused about whether "it" refers to one of the inputs or the output.
And this time the first 2 lines say "when both are off the output is off" but the third line says "when both are off then it turns on" which is very confusing, I realize that you want the previous state to be taken into consideration but it isn't clear quite how.
(Input 1; input 2) = (on ; on) => (off ; on) or (on ; off) => Output off
and
(Input 1; input 2) = (on ; on) => (off ; off) => Output on
Is that it ?
yes i think that you got the idea the part were i am stuck is on the fact that i need the circuit or system to stay on after both inputs have turned off and only turn back off when both inputs are back on and not if one is on and the other is off am trying to use it for a chest silo were the 2 inputs are comparators on the top chest and bottom i want to try and lock the system when it is empty and unlock it only when it is full again am really sorry for the not so good explanation but this is a very tricky circuit for me to explain and am not good at these kind of circuts
I've been following your posts here from the beginning. But since your descriptions remain very abstract and inconsistent and you didn't provide any explanatory pictures, I didn't really know how I could help you. But with Award21's recent inquiries, I think the following circuit could help you. (see picture below)

Yes that is what i am looking for although your design only checks 1 chest and and lets that one only fill up before it turns off but i need it to fill more than one chest before it turns off again. I hope this image can help .
in this case the solution is very easy. You let the lower comparator reset the Nor-Latch. (see picture below)

Yes that is exactly what i needed, by putting a comparator on the left dropper made it activate any machine i need it in order to start refilling the silo. Thank you i wanted this machine for quite some time now.

It seems like an X-or to me, this is the Xor truth table, see if it's what you want and look up an x-or port on the wiki:

Unfortunately I don't understand what you mean.
It seems that there's time involved so probably you also need some kind of T-flip flop for the persistence.
I think you need to be much clearer about exactly what you mean.

Just testing.
My best guess at what you mean is:
The only way to turn the output on is for both inputs to be off and then one is turned on?
And the only way to turn the output off is for both inputs to be on at the same time?
Just testing.
I maybe understand what you want
(Input 1; input 2) = (on ; on) => (off ; on) or (on ; off) => Output off
and
(Input 1; input 2) = (on ; on) => (off ; off) => Output on

So you want to fill your system, then you block the filling, and when its empty it gets filled again ?
