Hello! I've spent many hours making a sorting system in Minecraft but one problem eludes me. When the items reach one-hopper they will not get loaded into anther (See pictures)
Items would seem to come up the dropper/dispenser towers to the left and are fed into the chests at the right?
But then I don't know why there would be those redstone torches controlling the hoppers, why not just let them feed everything along as fast as they want?

Or maybe this is the input and the sorting happens at the chests by whatever is hidden under the top layer of hoppers?
I can’t figure out how your configuration would work. Most sorters rely on a hopper that has power applied until it exceeds a specific load. This allows all spaces to remain filled, the first with the desired item and the others with placeholders.
If you use a sorting system to feed furnaces, you have to be careful where you run the fuel feeds. If they’re too close to the sorter red stone torches, the fuel feed might get blocked.

I think we need more info and some pictures showing how the hoppers are connected to each other and how the redstone works.
Are you just talking about the hopper with the cursor on it in the first picture, all of them, some other subset?
Are those redstone torches next to the hoppers turning off properly when they're supposed to?
--
Are those long crosses on the sides of the hoppers arrows showing which way the're connected?
If so I'm confused, where are the items coming from? And going to?(I had assumed the hoppers were feeding items into the furnaces, but that wouldn't work either unless it was fuel.)Oops! I guess those are dispensers or droppers, not furnaces, ignore the previous 2 lines.
Just testing.
Agreed! I'm totally at a loss as to what this system is as it doesn't resemble any sorter I'm familiar with

I'm thinking this might just be the output.

Check out the sorter videos on YouTube.

Thanks for all the help guys! I did a few hours of troubleshooting and figured it out! Cheers!
