So I'm using a redstone dust door I saw on a Mumbo Jumbo video and as you can see in the images, it requires you to place a redstone dust on a block, which pushes the piston along and gives a constant on state. If you repeat this, it turns it off, giving an off state. The problem I'm having is I'm using this as a secret entrance into my base, but I can't figure out a way to close/open it from the inside. I'm using it as an OR gate atm which is obviously useless as when the outside switch is ON, it doesn't matter what state the inside one is at. I'll post pictures for reference but I'm not the greatest with redstone logic and would be absolutely eternally grateful if someone could give their insight.
Any one of these buttons will switch the mechanism but you need the redstone dust on one of the birch logs, you can't use just a button as far as I can see.
If it isn't convenient to add the redstone to the original trigger block you can add a new trigger (sticky piston, block and repeater) with redstone and button at the other end.
Again, you need the redstone dust so that both the piston and the block are powered.

Just testing.
