Can anyone tell me how does scicraft slime storage and capacity counting computer works. I know how to build redstone computer but the hell does it works it's quite confusing how they made it count in millions. How many bits computer does it requires
They don't count every single item - they count chests fill level (since chests fill in order, the error is only of order of 1 chest.) First they sum the values of 'fullness' of the chests, round (trim lowest bits) and encode it as hex numbers (analog signal value 0-15) over a couple lines, then decode that into decimal count and separately into percentages. They don't maintain lines for every single bit of the count of the items - if the count is a 20-bit number, then they encode upper 12 bit on 3 4-bit analog values and discard the bottom 8 bits at various stages of the encoding process.
