Hello! I wanted to know if there was a tree/apple farm for 1.12.2 that dont require you to be online, or at your desktop to get apples/logs. I'm planning to use this on a server, so i cant use command blocks. Also, explosions are disabled. If you can find an apple farm and tree farm that meets these criteria, please link me it. You can also link me exisiting tree/apple farms and tell me what to do to make them work. Thank you
Trees can be bonemealed automatically, but the saplings must be planted by hand; at minimum a player would need an autoclicker (or equivalent, such as a weight on a key) to plant the trees. (This may make what you want unattainable re: "… dont require you to be online, or at your desktop…" )
Assuming you're fine with maintaining a connection while autoclicking, the trees can be generated.
The next issue is collection:
Apples are comparatively easy; a collection of pistons can be used to break the leaf blocks (dropping saplings and apples) that can be collected by hoppers. (Sorting the saplings and using a dropper to cycle them back to the player can extend the length of time the farm can run.)
Collecting the logs presents real difficulty as "explosions are disabled". [Explosions are the only non-player method for breaking most blocks.]
Under that constraint, you could build a partly-automatic farm that used pistons to concentrate the trunks (logs) into a 12x12 square for later breaking by the player.
