I have been working on a redstone system that is designed to detect a certain item in a hopper and then activate a command block based on whether the item is correct or not. If it is correct obviously this then needs to open a door.
Now..... this bit all works correctly, however I have an issue where a user has put items into the hopper that do not belong there and they have clogged the system :S. Using the system I currently have in the image attached, is there a way that I can then get rid of/move unknown items onto another chest for storage to keep the detection system clear?
Or, even better if there is possibly a way of detecting the items easily with a command block?
Or you can use this item filter I found online. The items from the upper chest will travel down the hopper line, the correct item will go to the first chest and emit a Redstone pulse and the wrong items will go to the second chest. However, you need to preload the hoppers like shown in the picture. And to open your door just attach a flip-flop circuit to the comparator circuit.
