I have been trying to develop a cow cooker for my cow farm that would activate once every 5 minutes to dispense lava for 1 sec and then retract it. At the same time, I want a slab to be pushed out for that same amount of time above it so that falling cows won't get lava. I would like the contraption to have a 1 button push for manual usage while a lever to toggle this contraction for every 5 minutes while I afk.
Is there anyway to do this. I know that Observers can make it easier, but I'm not that well of a redstoner. Thanks
Below is my progress.I'm not sure if it is even correct.
Oh I see we both have a same core interest, which makes me content. At the moment, I don't have a server nor a realm, but I would like us to continually share our concepts of a cow cooker design.
Thanks
P.S: What are those 6 hoppers at the bottom for, is that for a clock. (Sorry about my lack in redstone knowledge. )
EDIT: After looking at the images a second time, I think I know what your circuit is like. You have a dispenser triggering every 5 minutes to send off an one pulse signal to the piston and lava dispenser. That is very smart, but I want the option to self trigger it and I would like to have the option to turn off the clock so it won't continue to go after I'm gone. I think one of the more advanced hopper/dropper clocks would be better in this case for our needs.
I finally have a small server set up. If you would like, we could work together on a world I have the cow farm at. PM me when you are on.
At the moment, it was made for an AFK setup and uses a modified lag-friendlier storage design for the cows to allow for adequate breeding and would allow us to get 64 cows bred under 5 minutes. It does not involve in a 1 hole design since I believe those are laggier and you can only breed up to 32 cows in 1 hole while you are afk so it won't be effective. The baby cows will fall out and be taken to a cow elevator to push them up to the cooker. But, as specified before, I want a way to turn this cooker on/off when the machine is on/off so a 5 minute item drop design won't do. But the circuit you have shown me is very intriguing.
I do believe there are several improvements we can make on the design together.
