I was wondering if you could testfor a player that was in the air or using the new Elytra using a tag or a testfor or a scoreboard or something else. If this is possible in the 1.9 snapshots could you tell me the command? Help much appreciated!
/execute @e[type=Player] ~ ~ ~ /testforblock ~ ~-1 ~ air
That should work, but I have not actually tested it, so sorry if it doesn't.

but is there a way you can test for the use of the elytra? i don't want to run a command every time i jump or fall. just when i'm flying

That tracks how far you've gone, but I suppose I could use that and just reset it when the block below the player isn't air
thanks
