I am making an adventure map, and I have it set up so that when you pull a lever, a wall with signs and item frames is /filled with air, destroying it. However, every time I try this, the item frames and the items in them are dropped rather than being destroyed. Is there any way to fix this?

Okay, so is there a way to only kill all entities within a specified area? There are a lot of other item frames in the map that I don't want to be destroyed when I activate that command block.
