it does not return an output although this is the name of the dropper. I want to test for a dropper that has not been renamed, and then rename it. The idea is to set up custom crafting easily. You throw down a specified item on top of a dropper facing up, and first it renames the dropper to "Crafter" via /blockdata then it sets an air block below the dropper, then a bedrock block below that, then teleports the item down on top of the bedrock block, then summons a silent silverfish named "CrafterMarker," then teleports the item back up. A fast clock gives all silverfish of that name a slowness effect of 255. But, when the item is teleported back up, it will immediately repeat the process because it sees a dropper underneath, and therefore will trigger the whole thing instead of the item just sitting there to be picked up. So, how do I testifor a dropper that is still named dropper?

Thanks, I figured it out. I had one testing for an "egg" dropper going into a redstone lamp. The other clock only ran if the block ID was redstone_lamp, not lit_redstone_lamp.
it returns an output, but when I have a dropper without a custom name and I do
