Hey well ive been wondering is it possible to create double jump in vanilla minecraft as seen in multiple servers and preferably without mcedit? Ive seen the singleplayer map "cubic blocks" which i find has almost nailed the double jump but is still a little bit funky, and i couldnt figure out how it worked as im not great with redstone. But is it possible to create a smooth double jump JUST LIKE super craft bros and super smash mobs or something as close as possible? And for multiplayer as well but i think that can be solved by having multiple of the contraption. So far i have the idea of when a certain slot is selected the player is given speed and jump boost but deselected, its normal. This has its issues as its not "double jump" but thats fine and the effect woulda not wear off until a split second after deselecting, and of course you have to switch inventory slots. So im wondering, can you create a multiplayer compatible vanilla double with as little errors as possible and as close to SCB and SSM as possible? Thanks.
In order to double jump, you would need commands testing for when a player jumps, then a delay based on how much jump boost they have, then an execute/fill command to replace the blocks under them with barriers, and then clear away those barriers.
This would only work if you double jump once they reach the peak of your first jump, or you can just hold the spacebar, but you can't choose when you want to do the actual double jump itself because it only works at the top of your first jump.
I also think it would be difficult to make it work smoothly on multiplayer, because of lag and because many command blocks would be needed for each player.

Is it possible to testfor how high above the ground the player is? if so can i use slabs if the player is already after the peak of the jump and barriers if its at the peak? And how can i testfor when a player does jump? And can you paste the commands needed? Thanks.
